Snodgrass & Sons Construction Co. Inc. is a medium sized General Construction Company, which has been operating within the Wichita market for over 50 years. The firm started under the direction of Myrl Snodgrass who was originally a homebuilder and then developed into commercial construction with his two sons, Max W. Snodgrass and James L. Snodgrass. The two sons took over full leadership of the company in 1962, and expanded it into heavy industrial construction (manufacturing facilities, sewage and water treatment plants) and general building construction (churches, schools, shopping centers, and office buildings). James Snodgrass revamped the company in 1981, and focused most of the company’s energy into utility work with Western Resources, Boeing Airplane Company, and McConnell Air Force Base projects. Since then our firm has been active in the commercial and industrial market, and light utility work. We appreciate the strength, vision and leadership of our past owners and strive to continue in the legacy of skill, integrity and responsibility of being General Contractors. At this time the company officers are James Snodgrass – Chairman of the board, David L. Snodgrass - President, Steve Slusher – Vice President, Leslie Snodgrass – Secretary and Janice Koland – Treasurer. We continue to perform commercial, industrial and light utility work within a 150-mile radius of Wichita, Kansas. We currently have approximately 60 - 70 employees during the construction season each year. Many of our employees have been with our firm for 15 – 25 years. They bring with them the skills and training necessary to be competitive, industrious and have the background and expertise to function and lead as skilled craftsmen. We routinely perform work for the firms listed on the Clients page, endeavoring to use our leadership, skilled labor, and equipment to manage their construction projects to be completed on time and within budget.
